Section 106 planning obligations in Croydon and their relationship to the Community Infrastructure Levy consultation
We have undertaken a partial review of the planning guidance Section 106 Planning Obligations and their relationship to the Community Infrastructure Levy that was adopted in July 2017. The review has been undertaken to update and better align the Section 106 requirements with the council’s strategic polices, the London Plan and the Community Infrastructure Levy.
The guidance describes the approach taken to secure the planning obligations and will assist developers by identifying the contributions required, through the grant of planning permissions for development. The guidance takes account of recent changes to planning legislation, policy requirements regarding affordable housing and contributions to carbon emissions, air quality and skills and training.
