Compulsory purchase order (CPO)

A CPO allows us to acquire land or property to deliver projects in the public interest, such as new homes and improved facilities.

For Regina Road, we already own most of the estate but may need to use CPO powers to secure the remaining homes and legal interests needed to complete the redevelopment. A CPO is only used as a last resort, and we will always seek to reach agreement first.

We are still finalising the details and will update this page regularly so that you can follow progress and understand the next steps, including:

  • Key dates and milestones
  • Background and reasons for the CPO
  • Plans and supporting documents
  • Your rights and entitlements, including compensation
  • How to make representations or objections
  • Contact details for advice and support

Find out more about the CPO in our guide (PDF, 3.1MB).
