After submission

Once you submit your petition, democratic services will need to verify the signatures.

When collecting signatures, anyone who wishes to sign the petition must provide:

  • their full name
  • their full address and postcode
  • the date of which the signature was submitted

When your petition has been validated, it will be submitted to the next Ordinary meeting of Full Council, subject to the slot available for the meeting.

A democratic services officer will be in touch to confirm if the signatures have been verified and the date of the Ordinary meeting your petition will be considered.

Only one public petition can be considered at each Ordinary meeting.
