Submitting your petition

You can submit a petition to Full Council in a number of ways. Whichever method you choose, you will need to submit your petition to democratic services by midday, 15 clear working days before the Full Council meeting.

Clear working days excludes the date of submission and the date of the council meeting.

Paper petitions

Submit your paper petition to:

Electronic petitions

Alternatively, you can email your petition to Democratic.Services@croydon.gov.uk along with the required number of signatures.

You can also use our e-petition platform to start a petition, invite others to sign one and monitor the progress of the petition.

Collecting signatures in support of your petition

When collecting signatures, anyone who wishes to sign the petition must provide:

  • their full name
  • their full address and postcode
  • the date of which the signature was submitted

For non-council e-petition platforms, signatures of people that are not considered local will not be counted as valid.
