Apply for a primary school place: step by step

You will receive your school place offer by email on the evening of 16 April 2021. Find out more about accepting an offer, waiting lists and appeals.

This step-by-step process is for parents of children born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017, applying to start primary school in September 2021.

There is a different application process if:

your child has already started primary school
your child is transferring from infant to junior school
