Garden of remembrance

The original concept of cremation was to avoid a grave by strewing the cremated remains in a garden of remembrance. At Croydon we have an extensive and attractive garden of remembrance with water features and seating. We strew the cremated remains amongst shrubs or undedicated rose beds, where they will remain undisturbed for ever.

We record this location so that you can add the remains of other family members in the future. If you prefer, you can choose the location yourself and attend the scattering of the remains with our staff, at no extra cost.

We offer a short spoken service with the reading of a poem or verse at these ceremonies for a small fee. Contact us for more information.

To complement this service, we have an attractive hall of remembrance in which the book of remembrance is displayed. This area includes an aviary, a flower preparation room and toilets for the convenience of mourners and visitors.
