Memorial wooden bench

Memorial wooden benches are available with a plaque featuring an inscription, at Mitcham Road Cemetery, Queen’s Road CemeteryGreenlawn Memorial Park, or in our garden of remembrance.

They are 6 foot (1.83m) wide. The timber used is mostly Iroko, which is similar to teak. It is extremely hard and weather-resistant. All the wood used is non-tropical and sustainable, which guarantees the protection of the local ecology and does not contribute to rainforest destruction.

We will place the bench at an agreed location. Up to 2 inscribed bronze plaques, each measuring 12 inch x 2.5 inch (30cm x 6.25cm) can be ordered, to dedicate the bench to your loved one. We can use teak oil or varnish the bench for you, or if left to weather naturally, it will maintain an attractive silver-grey colour, without damage to the wood.

The benches are placed on a paved base and as a security precaution we use a galvanised steel-fixing bracket.

Dedications are for an initial period of 15 years. Contact the Crematorium office for advice on availability.
