Mitcham Road Cemetery

This is a late Victorian cemetery, first opened in 1897. The burial chapel was built in 1896. It can seat 80 people and can be used for any form of religious or non-religious ceremony before burial at any of our cemeteries.

There is a CD player for your supplied music and we have an organ, but we do not supply organists.

Burials

There are a limited number of new graves available, but reclaimed graves and reclaimed cremated remains graves are available. Reclaiming keeps our fees and your funeral costs down.

Each grave is reclaimed with great care. Graves are only used where the owner is deceased, no burial has taken place for at least 75 years and the grave is unvisited or neglected. Only unused space is used and no previously interred remains are disturbed or removed.

Find out more about our burial services.

Opening times

The cemetery is open every day, including bank holidays.
