Find out about cremation services in Croydon Crematorium.
We have two chapels, available for use by all, as they are not consecrated and have no permanent religious symbols. Religious and non-religious services can be held in both chapels.
The West chapel has a traditional design with a vaulted ceiling and wooden pew. It seats 80 people in pews, The catafalque descends upon committal, unless you prefer the coffin to remain.
The East Chapel has a modern design, with upholstered linked seating, allowing flexibility and seating for about 130 people. The catafalque has a velvet curtain that can be drawn at committal or left open, if preferred.
Our crematorium has a state-of-the-art Obitus music system. As well as our vast music library, the service can be enhanced with a visual tribute. This enables our families to show a montage of photos as a looping slide show or timed to specific pieces of music. You can also arrange for a musician or singers to perform during the service.
We can stream all this live and make it available for up to 28 days later.
Speak with your funeral arranger for more information on the available options. You can also speak to our bereavement services team based here at the crematorium office.
