Apprenticeships and employers

An apprenticeship combines training in a job with around one day a week of study. Apprenticeships are available to anyone over the age of 16 and are open to both new and current employees.

Your apprentice must work with experienced staff and learn skills related to their job.

The Croydon Council Apprenticeship Levy Fund

As a local employer, you could be eligible to have 100% of the training costs covered through the Croydon Council Apprenticeship Levy Fund.

How we can support you

We will support you to:

  • find candidates using Croydon Works – a free, dedicated recruitment site to help you find the right candidates for your roles
  • find a good quality training providers
  • access the Digital Apprenticeship Service
  • identify peer to peer support
  • access funding to cover the apprentices training costs
