Sheltered housing

Sheltered housing offers the peace of mind in knowing that support is available 24 hours a day, with an alarm system that can be activated from the rooms in your flat and from the communal areas.

How to apply

Sheltered housing is provided by the council and by housing associations in the borough who work with us, using a shared application register.

To apply, you'll need to:

1. Submit a sheltered housing application.
2. Complete and return the self assessment form.

There are other forms to fill in if you're a croydon or housing association tenant, or you own or rent your own property privately.

Sorry, this form is currently unavailable while we make some changes to our housing online services. To support residents during this time, you can complete the notification of a housing application form.

We will let you know once the housing application is available and invite you to make a full application.

If your housing needs qualify you to be included on the housing register, your application will be backdated to the date of you submit the notification form above.

If you have any questions about the housing register, please email HSG-REHOUSING@croydon.gov.uk
