Food waste

You will be supplied with a small kitchen caddy to store food waste in your kitchen and a larger lockable food container for outside.

What to do with your food waste

1. Line your small kitchen food waste caddy with a compostable liner, old newspaper or kitchen roll.
2. Put in any food waste that you don't compost at home, such as meat, bones, fish and cooked food.
3. Regularly empty the kitchen container into the larger container outside.
4. Lock the lid of the outside container so the food is protected from animals.
5. Put the outside container out for collection every week with your recycling before 6am.
