Changing or cancelling your permit

Changing your vehicle or address

If you change your vehicle or address, or are using a courtesy car, email us at parkingpermits@croydon.gov.uk straight away.

We will give you 4 weeks of temporary cover while you wait for your new permit. 

You will need to return your old permit to us to get a new one.

Tell us you are changing your vehicle or using a courtesy car

Send us:

  • your name
  • address
  • either a photo or scan of page 2 of your vehicle log book (V5C) or a screenshot of details about your vehicle from the GOV.UK vehicle enquiry
  • Your old permit

Tell us you are changing address

  • Send us proof of your new address.
  • Return your old permit

Cancelling your permit

You can cancel your permit if you sell your vehicle, move or no longer need the permit.

You must return your permit to us.

We will:

  • refund you for the time you have not used
  • take a £38 admin fee

To cancel your permit and get a refund, email us at parkingpermits@croydon.gov.uk.

Return your old permit

After we confirm the changes to your permit, return the old one to us by post. This means you can avoid a fee.
