Apply for a temporary resident exemption permit

If you live in a Healthy Neighbourhood zone, you can get a temporary resident exemption permit for a:

  • carer who visits the property
  • courtesy car
  • healthcare worker
  • visitor with mobility issues
  • unplanned essential visit, for example boiler repairs 
  • large delivery
  • trades vehicle with heavy tools

You can get a permit for the following periods:

  • 1 day
  • 1 week
  • 1 month

You cannot use a temporary exemption permit for visitors or for private hire vehicles.
