In July 2019, we declared a climate emergency. We set up the Croydon Climate Crisis Commission to guide our response to the climate emergency.
In June 2021 the commission produced a report which included recommendations on how the borough can become carbon neutral.
The Carbon Neutral Action Plan was revised to a Climate Action Plan in June 2025.
We are holding a bi-annual in-person and a bi-monthly online Climate Action Forum (CAF) to bring together external organisations, interest groups, and Council officers to share updates, exchange ideas, and collaborate on shaping and delivering the Council’s Climate Action Plan.
