- Poll clerk - election day 6.15am - 10pm, plus training beforehand
- Presiding officer - election day 6.15am - 10pm, plus a training session beforehand
- Counting assistants - during the day or overnight depending on the election
- Electoral registration canvasser - predominantly evening and weekend work in the Autumn, usually between September-early November
