Young People’s Event 2025, invitation to tender
We are inviting bids from voluntary sector organisations to plan, manage, and deliver the Young People’s Event 2025. This one-day event is for professionals working with young people up to 25 years old at risk of, or experiencing, substance misuse.
The deadline for bid submissions deadline is 18 June.
The event aims to:
- celebrate best practices and encourage sector-wide learning
- strengthen partnerships across education, health, youth services, voluntary organisations and the community
- highlight support and treatment pathways from Change, Grow, Live (CGL)
- ensure young people’s voices shape the event’s design and delivery
Event requirements:
- Deliver a professional, engaging event for 100 to 150 attendees
- Secure an accessible venue in Croydon with catering
- Use creative formats (presentations, workshops, showcases) featuring lived experiences and referencing key strategies such as Dame Carol Black’s paper and the UK Drug Strategy “From Harm to Hope”
- Facilitate Q&A, networking, and sharing of post-event materials
- Collect attendee feedback to inform future initiatives
Budget and timeline:
- Funding: £5,000 (with potential increase upon justification)
- Delivery deadline: October 2025
Applications are invited from:
- voluntary sector organisations
- youth-focused groups
- social enterprises
- event providers with experience supporting young people affected by substance misuse, preferably with local Croydon knowledge and partnerships
