Bright Futures

Bright Futures is a new £1 million, 3-year initiative launching in 2025 to support UK-registered charities helping marginalised groups access education and employment.

Funded by the SG UK Foundation and delivered by Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), it offers unrestricted 1-year grants of £10,000 to £50,000, with potential for multi-year funding after the pilot phase.

Eligibility

To apply for funding you must:

  • be a UK-based charity or an organisation with a charitable purpose
  • serve UK beneficiaries
  • have a governing document and bank account in the organisation's name
  • request no more than 30% of their last year’s income

How to apply

The application is a 2-stage process.

You must submit an expression of interest by 3 June 2025. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 25 June 2025.

Successful applicants will be able to submit full applications by 31 July 2025 (midday). Final decisions will be given in early October 2025, with grants awarded from mid-October.

Organisations who are not successful in the first funding round will be able to submit an expression of interest in the next calendar year’s Bright Futures Grants funding round.
