If you’re a premises-based gambling business in Croydon, for example an adult gaming centre, entertainment centre or bingo hall, you need to apply for a gambling premises licence.
If you are taking over ownership of a licensed premises, you'll need to apply to transfer the current licence. You will also need to notify other authorities.
If you do not agree with the outcome of a licensing decision or any of its conditions, if you were the applicant or member of the public, you can appeal through the courts against the decision of the Licensing Authority.
It is a legal requirement for councils to have a Gambling Statement of Principles that sets out how the council will carry out the duties required under the Gambling Act (2005).
