Croydon West
Croydon West has been selected as one of the neighbourhoods to benefit from this national programme. It can receive up to £20 million over 10 years.
How the programme will be delivered
A neighbourhood board will lead the programme in Croydon West and will work with the Executive Mayor, MP for Croydon West, Croydon Council and wider community, to:
- co‑produce a long‑term plan for the area
- ensure that decision‑making is community‑led
What the funding will focus on
The neighbourhood board will decide how to prioritise funding, based on extensive community engagement, across 3 priorities.
Build stronger communities
All places should have strong relationships and a collective sense of belonging to their community. This helps bring people together to build community cohesion and resilience, helping people to feel proud of their area and safe in their neighbourhood.
Create thriving places
Every part of the UK deserves to have vibrant neighbourhoods and communities with busy high streets, a good range of local amenities and high-quality physical infrastructure.
Empower people to take back control
Talent is spread equally but opportunity is not. Everybody should be empowered and in control of their lives and have a say over the future of their community.
Together, these priorities will guide the delivery of a locally driven, inclusive regeneration programme that reflects the needs, aspirations, and voices of the Croydon West community.
