Definitive map and statement 2015

The definitive map and statement is conclusive proof of the existence and status of a right of way at the relevant date.

The definitive map is based on the Ordnance Survey 1:10000 maps for the London Borough of Croydon area. The maps and statement are available for inspection at the council's Offices (Bernard Weatherill House). They can also be viewed in all Croydon Libraries. The map and online copies are for public inspection and reference only, they must not be copied without permission.

The map and statement is conclusive proof of the existence and status of a right of way (footpath, bridleway or byway) as of 14 November 2015. Changes may have occurred to the rights of way network since this date.

The definitive map and statement may only be changed by and according to an Order made by the council. It forms an accurate record of the public rights of way network. The council has a duty to review and update the definitive map and statement.
