Business permits

Apply or renew a permit if you regularly use a vehicle for business purposes.

Who can apply for a business parking permit

Business parking permits are intended for employees who regularly use their cars for business purposes. They are not for use solely for commuter parking.

Permits are only issued to businesses with 12 employees or less, whose usual business address lies within a controlled parking zone.

You will need a separate business parking permit for each vehicle.

How many permits you can apply for

The maximum number of permits you may apply for depends on the location of your business. To find out which zone you're in, check the guidance on Croydon's controlled parking zones.

Inner zones: East inner, East outer, E2, North, N1, South and West

Two permits maximum.

Outer zones: Coulsdon, Napier Road, Norbury, Old Lodge Lane, Thornton Heath, South Norwood, Sanderstead, South Norwood and Purley

Four permits maximum (or 2 if purchased quarterly).

How to apply

The quickest and easiest way to apply or renew a business permit is online.

You will need scanned copies or photos of these documents:

  • a letter on your company letterhead briefly outlining what the vehicle will be used for
  • a copy of the non domestic rates bill
  • a photo or scanned copy of page 2 of your V5C registration showing your vehicle make, model, engine size and emissions or screen shot of your vehicle emission data from online vehicle enquiry service.
