This policy sets out how we will obtain access to residents’ homes to carry out essential inspections, repairs, and safety works.

It explains:

  • how we define when and why access is required, for example,  inspections
  • residents’ responsibilities to provide access in line with tenancy or lease agreements
  • how we engage and support residents, including making reasonable adjustments where needed
  • how we prioritise engagement and resolution, with enforcement used only where necessary and proportionate
  • our consistent approach to escalation where access is not granted
