Mechanical and electrical tier 2 safety inspections policy

The Policy outlines our approach to managing compliance with Mechanical and Electrical Tier 2 safety inspections in Council owned and managed properties.

Keeping residents and building users safe from harm is paramount. We will ensure that all Mechanical and Electrical Tier 2 safety systems and equipment which is within its control is installed, managed, and maintained in accordance with current standards set out in legislation and codes of practice, to minimise the risk to any person using such.

This policy applies to Mechanical and Electrical Tier 2 safety equipment and appliances that are not covered by any other policy which the Council is responsible for.
