The Mayor of London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone, which aims to tackle poor air quality in London, comes into effect on Monday 8 April 2019.
While Croydon is not part of the ULEZ (or the planned expansion in 2021), anyone travelling into the zone will be required to pay a daily charge if their vehicle does not meet ULEZ Standards.
To help small businesses and charities prepare for the ULEZ, the Mayor of London has introduced a scrappage scheme. Eligible organisations can apply for funds to scrap up to three older, more polluting vans and charity minibuses and switch to cleaner vehicles.
To find out if your vehicle meets the new ULEZ standards, use TfL’s vehicle checker.
