Faith and belief groups

Faith organisations play an important role in supporting communities before, during and after emergencies.

Faith leaders are trusted voices who can help share important information, while places of worship often provide practical support for local residents.

Many faith venues have facilities that can be used during an emergency, including community kitchens, meeting spaces, temporary rest centres and food distribution points.
