Parking

This initiative is designed to increase footfall, encourage local shopping, and make high streets more accessible and attractive to visitors.

  • Our revised parking policy supports local businesses by offering one hour of free parking across district and most local centres.
  • Customers can now enjoy one hour of free parking at more than 20 locations across Croydon, covering 17 sites with 176 parking bays. For more information, see Free parking places.
  • We are investigating potential areas for increased parking to better support businesses.

Commercial waste

  • New businesses will benefit from a discounted commercial rate pricing of up to 50% for the first 3 months, 30% for the next quarter and 20% for the last quarter providing the business signs a contract for 2 years.
  • Businesses located within a Business Improvement District (BID) may also access separate BID-led commercial waste services, often at competitive, negotiated rates. (Purley, Croydon Town Centre and New Addington)
  • We support the evening and night-time economy, with collection times available early morning, late evening (around 10pm) and overnight (up to 4am) where required.
