Palace for Life 

This free social mobility programme runs 2 days a week for 6 to 8 weeks; where young people can take part in a variety of workshops, masterclasses. There's also work experience opportunities and personalised support to help them to reach their goals.

Better aims to get people more active. They promote healthy and active lifestyles, giving communities access to facilities that help improve their health and happiness through participation in activities. 


In the Croydon area they have the Croydon Community Hub, the Outdoor hub for sports, training, events and local sports teams and 33 tennis courts across 14 parks in the borough.

Croydon Drop In (CDI)

CDI  supports young people aged 11 to 25 years old and families who live, work or study in Croydon.

CDI offer free and confidential counselling information, advice and advocacy services.

Croydon Judo Club

Croydon Judo Club holds Judo classes for young people. There are children's classes for those under 16 years old. This is a safe (no kicking or punching) environment that enables children to play and enjoy the sport as well as learn key skills to improve their overall health and mental stamina.

There are also classes for those who are aged 16+. Each of the adult classes has a slightly different feel, from technical proficiency to competitive practice and free practice (randori)

Croydon Works offers a free recruitment service for Croydon residents and employers. They advertise a range of apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities on a regular basis.

Get Started with Music

This exciting 5 day music course will give you an opportunity to build on skills like confidence and teamwork through music making.

Young people will be able to get support from musicians in the industry, work as part of a team to produce a group piece of music and also make their own music videos.

Groundwork London

Groundwork London work up with young people up to the age of 25. You have to have registered before your 25 birthday. 

They offer courses in:

  • level 1 horticulture skills
  • functional skills up to level 2
  • customer services 
  • business admin 
  • employability skills

Courses are delivered online at the moment and will return to face-to-face soon. Courses are normally delivered to groups of 6 to 10 people.
