In October we held an event to celebrate Living Wage employers in Croydon.
The employers, who are the first to become accredited in Croydon, are leading the way in our drive to have all businesses in the borough accredited by the Living Wage Foundation by 2020.
The event was held at No 1 Croydon, on the first day of Living Wage Week, and gave non-accredited organisations the opportunity to find out more about the scheme and its benefits for both staff and employers, as well as the chance to sign up.
Philip, who works for Churchill Services, talked at the event about the difference being paid the London Living Wage makes to him and how he feels about his work. See the video here:
At the event eight Croydon businesses; Croydon’s Dotmailer, MyOutspace, Sussex Innovation Centre Croydon, Croydon Business Improvement District, Hawk War Games, Intcas, The Croydon Partnership and NightShift Pest Control, recognised the benefits of London Living Wage and committed to become accredited Living Wage employers.
