If you want to employ a young person you will need to check the regulations and byelaws of employing children. You will also need to complete a risk assessment to ensure your work place is safe for the child.

Child employment permit

If you want to employ a young person between 13 and 16 years old, you must apply for a work permit.

Standard child performance and activities licence

If you're a running an event where a child will be performing, you must apply for a child performance licence.

Apply to become a licensed chaperone

If you are appointed to protect, control and care for children whilst they are modelling, performing on stage or taking part in TV or film, you will need a licence.
