Secondary school in-year admissions: step by step

This step by step process is for parents of children who wish to apply for a secondary school place as an in-year admission.

An in-year admission is when you need to: 

• apply for a secondary school place, in an existing year group, outside of the normal admissions process
• apply for a secondary school place, at a time when your child should already be attending school
   

There is a different application process if your child is applying to secondary school using the normal admission process
