UK Shared Prosperity Programme in Selsdon
In 2024/25, Selsdon was allocated funding through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund programme to improve the district centres.
The project, titled ‘100 years of Selsdon’, saw the implementation of new signage and tools for navigation, as well as a blue plaque trail on the high street shops. The project was completed and launched in April 2025 at the Selsdon centenary exhibition, coordinated by key community groups and held in Selsdon Library.
The initiative will enhance accessibility and visibility of Selsdon's green spaces, while attracting visitors to the high street and increasing footfall. The project was defined and designed in close collaboration with local ward councillors, friends groups and residents associations.
