You may be eligible for an assessment if you have difficulties that could affect your ability to identify, respond to or escape from a fire.
Examples include:
• Reduced mobility.
• Frailty or a history of falls.
• Temporary injuries.
• Pregnancy.
• Being bed-bound or chair-bound.
• Visual impairment or blindness.
• Hearing impairments.
• Dementia.
• Learning disabilities.
• Cognitive impairments.
• Mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression or PTSD.
Fire safety concerns within the home
• Hoarding or blocked escape routes.
• Unsafe smoking practices.
• Use of oxygen equipment.
• Unsafe cooking practices.
• Charging of e-bikes, e-scooters or mobility scooters indoors.
• Previous fire incidents or near misses.

If you believe you or a member of your household may need additional support during a fire emergency, contact our Tenancy sustainment team and tell us about your circumstances.
we will arrange an assessment with you and discus circumstances that could affect your fire safety and, where necessary, develop a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan with you.
