Help us continue to improve by giving your feedback
Our highways team will confirm they have received your claim and begin an investigation.
Claims are always investigated as quickly as possible. By law, we have 3 months to investigate and let you know the outcome of your claim.
If your claim is accepted, we will make an offer in writing. This will accurately reflect an appropriate level of compensation.
For vehicle and property damage offers, a deduction will be made for wear and tear, and any value decrease.
Property damage offers will not be on a 'new for old' basis. They will be on an indemnity basis, meaning; you will be compensated for the cost of certain damage or loss.
If we reject your claim, you will receive a letter explaining why.
If you want to discuss the decision further, please contact the claims handler directly. This information will be in the letter you receive.
You can seek legal advice at any stage of your claim.
