Public conveniences

Public toilet facilities in Croydon.

Please note that all district centres have a number of cafes, restaurants and pubs (plus other) that provide toilet facilities to the public. Croydon Council will provide an update on the Community Toilet Scheme in due course.

The ‘pay to use’ JC Decaux toilets have now been removed from all locations as part of the councils’ plan to provide Equalities Act compliant facilities across the borough. The below listed toilets however remain in operation

  • Coulsdon Road  (Grange Park Recreation Ground)
  • Brighton Road, Coulsdon (Opposite Chipstead Valley Road)
  • Westow Street, Upper Norwood (behind Phoenix Centre)

Facilities no longer in use

  • Fell Road, Croydon (two units, junction with Katharine Street)
  • Norbury Avenue, Norbury (entrance to Norbury Park)
  • Morland Road, Addiscombe (junction with Lower Addiscombe Road)
  • Lower Addiscombe Road, Addiscombe (opposite Fernhurst Road)
  • Hartland Way, Shirley (one unit adjacent to Shirley Library)
  • High Street, Purley (outside swimming pool)
  • Central Parade, New Addington (opposite Boots the Chemist near Cyber Cafe)

Once normal service resumes, Croydon Council will be introducing a Community Toilet Scheme across the borough. This will mean more public toilets and an increase in Equalities Act 2010 compliant facilities.
