The official launch of three Wayfinder Walking Routes in Croydon's green spaces will take place at Lloyd Park on Saturday August 10. To celebrate the occasion, Striders of Croydon running club is leading free guided walks and runs on each route

Free guided walks and runs -
Saturday 10 August, 2019, from 10.30am to 1.30pm. Lloyd Park

The official launch of three Wayfinder Walking Routes in Croydon's green spaces will take place at Lloyd Park on Saturday August 10. To celebrate the occasion, Striders of Croydon running club is leading free guided walks and runs on each route. All ages and abilities are invited to join in the fun and well-behaved dogs are welcome too. All three routes begin in Lloyd Park and are clearly marked on waymarked posts using corresponding coloured arrows.

As well as the guided walks and runs, the Park Life Café and toilets will be open, there will be homemade cakes for sale and people are invited to bring a picnic to the park to really make a day of it.

Striders of Croydon will lead free guided runs and walks as follows. The meeting point is at the Park Life Café entrance. The pace will be steady and the group leader will loop back to make sure everyone keeps together. People are advised to bring their own water and snacks and wear suitable shoes.

The Yellow Route is 2.5 miles/4K and stays within Lloyd Park
11.00 am Guided Run - approximately 20-35 minutes
11.20 am Guided Walk- approximately 60 minutes

The Green Route is 5 miles/8K and takes in Lloyd Park and Addington Hills 10.45 am Guided Run - approximately 60-70 minutes
11.10 am Guided Walk - approximately two to two and a half hours

The Red route is 8 miles/12K and consists of Lloyd Park, Addington Hills, Littleheath and Croham Hurst 10.30 am Guided Run - approximately one and half to two hours
