History
Green Lane Sports Ground was purchased from Gaumont British the Film Company, who had previously used it as a sports ground. The area was purchased by the Corporation for the benefit, improvement and development of the Borough in September 1948. The site consists of a grass recreation area and multi use games area and incorporates the Highbury Avenue Community Centre.
