Digital library audio and e-books

How to borrow digital books and audio. You can borrow six items at a time, and each item is loaned for three weeks.

Anyone can browse our digital collections, but if you wish to download an item you will need your library card and online account password. Find out how to get a library card.

We have 3 collections to choose from.

Overdrive e-books and e-audio

You can borrow 8 items at a time, e-books are loaned for 3 weeks and e-audio for 2 weeks

How to access Overdrive

  1. Go to https://tlc.overdrive.com.
  2. Click on the Sign In button to log in using your library card number and password or PIN. Select Croydon Libraries from the list of libraries.
  3. Click on My account to change any settings.
  4. Browse the collection to select an item.
  5. Click the Borrow button.
  6. Confirm your loan.
  7. The item will be ready to download, either to your PC or mobile device.

Smartphones and tablets

Download the Overdrive Libby App from your usual app store.

Search for Croydon or LLC when prompted to enter your library; the app will ask for your library card and password or PIN.

BorrowBox e-books and e-audio

You can borrow 6 ebooks and 6 audiobooks at a time and each item is loaned for 3 weeks.

How to access BorrowBox

  1. Go to croydon.borrowbox.com and click the Sign In button to log in using your library card number and password or PIN.
  2. Create a BorrowBox account.
  3. Browse the collection to select an item.
  4. Click the Borrow button.
  5. Confirm your loan.
  6. The will be ready to download, either to your PC or mobile device.

Smartphones and tablets

Download the BorrowBox library app from your usual app store.

Search for Croydon when prompted to enter your library; the app will then ask for your library card number and PIN.
 

uLIBRARY e-audio

You can borrow 8 items at a time and each item is loaned for 3 weeks.

  1. Go to https://llc.ulverscroftulibrary.com  and click Register.
  2. Create a uLIBRARY account. Select Croydon from the list of libraries.
  3. When you have registered you can login to browse the collection and select an item.
  4. Click the Borrow button.
  5. Confirm your loan.
  6. The item will be ready to download, either to your PC or mobile device.

Smartphones and tablets

Download the uLIBRARY app from your usual app store. This app is not currently available for use with Kindle Fire devices.

Search for Croydon when prompted to enter your library; the app will then ask for your library card number and PIN.
