Children's events

We run the following free drop-in events for young children:

  • Rhymetime: Tuesdays 10am to 10:30am (under 5s)
  • Wiggle and Jiggle: Thursdays 11am to 11:30am (under 5s)
  • Craftytime: Fridays 3:45pm to 4:30pm (5 to 7 year olds)
  • Rock and Rhyme: Saturdays 10am to 10:30am (under 5s)
  • Story and craft: Saturdays 3pm to 4pm (under 8s)

Our display boards are available for use free of charge to advertise your club or society.

Reading group

Coulsdon Library's reading group for adults meets in the library; every second Thursday in the month from 2 to 3pm. For further details, contact the library.

Knit and stitch

Bring your latest knitting or sewing project along to our knit and stitch group - meeting fortnightly on a from Monday 10:30am to midday. Check the events calendar or enquire for specific dates.

IT sessions

The library offers free one-to-one IT help sessions on Monday and Saturdays to help you gain confidence in areas such as sending and receiving emails, browsing the internet, uploading/downloading pictures and files, using your iPad or tablet and anything else we're able to help you with. Each session is an hour long and needs to be booked in advance.

Ancestry sessions

The library computers have free access to Ancestry Library Edition and we run free one-to-one taster sessions on the third Monday of every month from 2pm to 3pm and 3pm to 4pm. These sessions are facilitated by a local genealogist and member of The Bourne Society. They are on a first come first served basis, so contact the library in advance if you would like to book one.

Food waste bags cost £5.99 for 100. You can buy these from all Croydon libraries.

Green waste bags

Green waste bags cost £1 each. You can buy these from all Croydon libraries.
