London Landlords Accreditation Scheme (LLAS)

Do you want to make sure you are a good landlord? Then sign up to the London Landlord Accreditation Scheme. Find out what it is and how you can take part.

All landlords, letting agents and managing agents are encouraged to become accredited. This can be achieved by joining the London Landlord Accreditation Scheme (LLAS).

LLAS is a development course that provides you with the knowledge to maintain your property to a high standard, understand current legislative requirements and enable you to provide good quality housing to your tenants.

Benefits of the course

You will receive:

  • discount opportunities including, HMO licensing fees, insurance companies, banks, building societies and building materials suppliers
  • up-to-date knowledge of the key issues of property management and landlord-tenant law, including the Renters Rights Act that came into force in 2025
  • reference materials covering all aspects of private sector letting
  • increased confidence in your property management skills

Course length

The LLAS is a one day development course. You can also book a session online.

Two face to face training sessions are currently scheduled to take place this year:

  • Thursday 29 January
  • Wednesday 25 March

The training sessions will be at Croydon Town Hall from 9am to 4.30pm.

On-line and virtual sessions 

LLAS currently run on-line sessions on a fortnightly basis.  Dates are available well into the middle of 2026.

Accreditation period 

Two years or five years.

You must also maintain your knowledge and keep up-to-date with the relevant laws.

Re-accreditation

Attendance at the annual London landlords day event, local landlords forum and additional training events, will count towards re-accreditation, as will membership of a recognised landlords organisation.
 

Cost

  • 2 year course fees are £99.90
  • 5 year course fees are £199.90
