‘Books Beyond Words’ Croydon Book Clubs

‘Books Beyond Words’ Croydon Book Clubs project are keen to identify people with learning disabilities that would like to take part in Book Clubs. The Book Clubs will take place at four libraries in Croydon:

  • the Central Library in the Clocktower complex in Katharine Street
  • New Addington Library
  • Purley Library
  • Thornton Heath Library

So people can choose to attend the Book Club at the library that is most convenient for them. Please see the download below for the list of 50 books that Books Beyond Words have now produced. The books cover a wide range of really important subjects that can help people overcome fears, develop new skills and become more independent, confident and happier.

If you are intending to support people who are interested in attending a Book Club, please contact Sophia Harvey - and David Herbert - with the initial details of:

  • who you will be supporting (number and names),
  • which library would the people like to go to,
  • your name and relationship to the person/people
  • your contact details and
  • the name of the organisation you work for (if any)
