Internal audit reports

An internal audit helps ensure local government provide services effectively. The audit provides independent and objective assurance to:

• the organisation
• its Members
• the Corporate Leadership Team
• the Chief Financial Officer.

The Accounts and Audit Regulations require an internal audit service to provide independent assurance on the adequacy of the Council’s:

• governance arrangements
• risk management
• internal control systems.

Audit reports for each year have been provided. These are ordered in accordance with annual audit plan approved for each year.
