In response to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and following advice from government, all non-essential face to face registration and ceremonial services have been suspended until further notice. Our offices are located in the beautiful Town Hall Grade II listed building. The Town Hall was built in 1895 and has retained many of its original features. We are situated opposite the Queen's Gardens which is an ideal place for memorable photographs.
This ceremony suite has a traditional feel and can seat up to 65 guests including your witnesses. It is equipped with a CD player to play background music whilst you sign the register.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is payable when booking this ceremony, which includes room hire and the registrars. Information about the ceremony will be provided once you have made a booking.
This suite is perfect for a small, simple ceremony and seats up to 35 guests including your witnesses. It is equipped with a CD player to play background music whilst you sign the register.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required when booking this ceremony, which includes room hire and the registrars. Information about the ceremony will be provided once you have made a booking.
The room is available for couples who wish to have a very basic ceremony. The room only accommodates the couple and their 2 witnesses. There is no music provided. The Register Office is only available on Wednesdays.
Wednesday £57. This fee includes 1 marriage certificate and your registrars. Full payment in advance is required.
If you would like to view our ceremony rooms before booking, come along to the Register Office, preferably on a Monday or Tuesday between 9.30am and 10.30am for an informal viewing.
How to book
Email us on the contact details below, with the following information:
- name of marriage room required
- date and time of ceremony
- name of bride and groom or partners
- your contact details for a registrar to call and take payment of the non-refundable deposit
We will respond within 10 days to confirm your provisional booking, with a booking form for you to make your deposit payment.
Once a booking form and a payment are received, we will send you a confirmation email, containing a marriage pack with details of your choice of ceremonies.
