Nesting bird boxes - Frylands Court

The repairs & maintenance team, working with the Youth Community Payback team use their skills and services as part of their community payback order.

Working with supervisor Mike Roche, we identified an opportunity to utilise the teams. We decided to make a variety of items that we could use across the Extra Care and Sheltered Homes.

In this case we saw the installation of 3 nesting bird boxes here at Frylands Court.

Our partner Axis helped place the bird boxes in the communal gardens close to the patio areas. Residents could then enjoy watching the small birds the visit the boxes during the autumn and winter months.
