Start for Life offer

The arrival of a new baby can bring great joy, and some natural anxiety at this sudden responsibility. Sleepless nights, uncertainty and questions are all normal and common experiences during the 1,001 days from conception to a baby’s second birthday.

Croydon’s ambition for its Family Hub Start for Life services is that families can access the support they need when they need it.

The services that families most require support from are:

  • midwifery
  • health visiting
  • perinatal mental health support
  • infant-feeding advice and specialist breastfeeding support
