London Borough of Croydon

We are aware that sometimes money may be tight. We want to work with you if you fall behind on your council tax payments, giving you the support and help you need to get on top of things.

Please contact us to discuss your options and see whether you are entitled to any help.

You can now see whether you are entitled to housing benefit and council tax support by using our online benefits calculator.

In certain circumstances we can send a visiting officer who will complete an application with you face to face. If you believe you may be eligible for a home visit, please call our contact centre, email our council tax department, or leave a message on our automated service to arrange an appointment using the contact details at the bottom of the page.

Alternatively, you can contact our welfare rights team on 0800 731 5920 who can complete a calculation over the phone to see whether you are entitled to any council tax support.

The welfare rights team hotline is available on:

Monday 2pm - 7pm
Tuesday 3pm - 4.30pm
Wednesday 11am - 2pm
Friday 9am - 12noon
