Active lives: day support
We offer opportunities to support adults who have disabilities, primarily learning disabilities and autism.
Every person we work with receives support tailored to them, whether it is at a hub like The Cherry Hub through our outreach services.
Outreach means we go out into the community with the people we support to do things that matter to them. This could include building up the confidence to go to the shops, taking part in a hobby, or simply going out with friends.
Our teams are skilled at identifying people’s needs and supporting them to achieve what matters to them personally. We do not decide what individuals requiring our support should do. Instead, we work with them to learn about what they value and enjoy, whether that’s family, friends, hobbies or any other thing they care about. We meet each person’s social and learning goals agreed with them as part of their support plan.
Sessions aim to inspire independence, friendship, social networking and, emotional and physical wellbeing.
Eligibility
This service is available to individuals over 18 with care and support needs.
How to get support
Request support for an adult will take you through:
- telling us about your situation and choosing the support you need
- any costs that may come with the support, and how to pay them
When you request support, we will offer you the support that suits your needs best, not just the type you apply for.
