Many people have their care and support needs met by employing a personal assistant for care (PA) who can support them in a wide range of ways.

Paying for care at home

This information relates to a financial assessment to determine how much you will need to pay towards care provided in your home or in the community. This is known as non-residential services.

Being a personal assistant for care

A personal assistant for care (PA) is someone who is employed to provide personal and domestic everyday support needed to help people to lead an independent personal and social life at home.

Respite care

Respite care lets you take a break while the person you look after is cared for by someone else.
