This year's theme is ‘building carer friendly communities’. We want to use this as an opportunity help our carers know their rights and what is available to them, and any events they can take part in.
We're holding a Carers Market Place on Tuesday 9 June in the Braithwaite Hall, Katharine St, Croydon, CR0 1NX, from 10am to 3pm. We hope this will be an opportunity for residents to find out more about the range of activities and support available to them, along with networking across organisations.

Shared reading
Come along to our Shared Reading Club in partnership with The Reader, a national charity that aims to bring about a reading revolution so that everyone can experience and enjoy great literature!
At shared reading groups, people connect and share experiences using stories and poems. There is no pressure to talk or read aloud.

‘Carer Friendly Communities’ Cream Tea
This event is a chance for carers to take a well-deserved break, enjoy some tea and treats, and connect with others who understand the caring role. You will also have the opportunity to meet friendly representatives from local organisations, find out about the support available in Croydon, and have informal conversations in a comfortable setting.

Art Showcase and Buffet
We will be hosting a special art showcase celebrating the creativity and talent of carers who took part in our 'Create' workshops earlier this year. The event will feature a range of inspiring artwork, offering a chance to explore the pieces, hear the stories behind them, and recognise the creativity within our carer community. Whether you attended the workshops, or are simply curious, everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the exhibition. A buffet lunch will be provided, giving you time to connect with others, share experiences and enjoy a supportive, friendly atmosphere.
