Some nursery provision is made directly by the local authority, i.e. in nursery schools, early years centres and in nursery classes attached to primary schools. Application should be made direct to the nursery schools and early years centres.
In addition to the provision made by the local authority, there are very many registered independent nursery providers serving local children. For information about these and other provision for younger children, i.e. parent and toddler groups and childcare facilities, you should view the Family Space web site.
